The Gerda® Drop Key Protection Box (DPB) is designed to protect the fireman’s switch plate or switch itself for access control on existing buildings.

This is to facilitate Fire and Rescue Service access.

The Drop Key Protection Box has been designed to fit over an existing fireman’s switch or fireman’s plate*. The DPB is accessed by the Fire & Rescue Service through the Gerda One Key® System.

The DPB locking system permits access to the end organisation and the lock type and associated key management policy will be discussed with yourselves.  The Fire and Rescue Service can access the DPB through the Gerda One Key® system.  This then gives access to the fireman’s switch /plate which requires a dropkey.   The DPB keys must be ordered as a separate item by the end user through Gerda’s authorised key signatory system.
